The ICT4Peace Foundation is honored to announce, that Mr. Michel Chevallier has been appointed the ICT4Peace Representative in Geneva. A journalist by training, Michel was from 2001 to 2013 Deputy Secretary General of the Geneva State Chancellery, where he has been working in the field of internet voting and electoral affairs. During these years, he liaised with a number of governmental and intergovernmental bodies and represented Geneva in discussions and negotiations on electronic voting and electoral law, at the Council of Europe among other bodies. He also acted as an expert in assessing the 2011 Norwegian internet voting pilot and created a course on eVoting for Diplofoundation.

In parallel, he has been active in the field of international relations for the State of Geneva, managing a series of projects aimed at enhancing Geneva goodwill abroad, such as the partnership with the city of Beijing, the Geneva week in Washington DC and joint projects between the State and intergovernmental organisations. He has been closely associated with the organisation of ITU Telecom World 2003, 2009 and 2011.
