Several reports by the ICT4Peace Foundation, especially on the experiences in Haiti have also contributed to the report and Sanjana Hattotuwa, Special Advisor of the Foundation is quoted extensively. The report proposes four interesting steps to establish an interface between the Volunteer and Technical Communities (V&TCs) and the formal humanitarian system, building on what the ICT4Peace Foundation conceptualised and proposed in 2010 with regard to cross-fertilisation of the crisismapping and UN communities.
