ICT4Peace in cooperation with the Department of ICT Security, Ministry of Post and Telecommunications (MPTC) of the Kingdom of Cambodia organised the Cybersecurity Capacity Building for Policymakers and Cyber-diplomats from Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam (see also CLV ASEAN Countries) on 25 and 26 September 2023 in Siem Reap, Kingdom of Kambodscha.

The Course was opened by Vice-Minister Dr. Khov Makara, Ministry of Post and Telecommunications (MPTC), Mr. Tim Paterson, First Secretary of the Embassy of Australia in Phnom Penh, Ms. Muong Channisai, Swiss Development Cooperation Office in Phnom Penh. and Daniel Stauffacher President and Founder of ICT4Peace.

Prof. Ou Phannarith, Director Department of ICT Security of the Kingdom of Cambodia was chairing the meetings.  Representatives of LaoCert participated also in the course.

The Course was co-lead by Ms. Anne-Marie Buzatu, Executive Director of ICT4Peace and Prof. Przemek Roguski, Senior Advisor of ICT4Peace.

The course would not have been possible without the generous support of the Swiss Development Cooperation Office in Cambodia and the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Australia

A similar Course was carried out in Vientiane, Lao PDR on 21 – 22 September 2023.

The first Cybersecurity Policy and Diplomacy Workshop for ASEAN Countries  was organised by ICT4Peace in 2017 in Singapore.
