Anne-Marie Buzatu’s short report: What a week! From 6–9 July 2026, I had the privilege of contributing to some of the most substantive conversations happening in AI governance right now — all here in Geneva at #AIforGood.
Monday I moderated the launch of The Essential Convergence: Global Compact on Extreme AI Risks at the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies – IFRC, co-hosted by ICT4peace Foundation, Strategic Foresight Group, IFRC, and Geneva Centre for Security Policy. A genuinely global panel: Dr. Chinmay Pandya (DSVV, India), (Amb. Dr.) Lavina Ramkissoon (African Union), Dr. Derrick Swartz (South Africa DSTI), and Kwan Yee Ng 吴君仪 (Concordia AI).
Wednesday I presented our Boots2Bytes toolkit at Palexpo — ICT4Peace’s RAG-based AI tool for the private security sector — then joined Tsinghua University for a dialogue on Governing Frontier AI.
Thursday I joined Kevin Osborne, Cecilia Cannon, Dan Stein and Paola Galvez at the Canton de Genève stand for a conversation on Geneva as a global hub for inclusive and ethical AI.
The depth and diversity of this week’s conversations gave me real hope. Geneva is where these norms get made — and moments like this remind me why that matters.
