The Master of Advanced Studies in Humanitarian Logistics and Management Programme (MAS HLM) at the University of Lugano is a new programme aimed at those involved in humanitarian aid and relief delivery and planning.
As we noted earlier this year when the Foundation entered into an agreement with the University, this Masters level programme is the first of its kind and successfully launched in 2009. Classes are taught in English over a period of 22 months. This Program is lead by Paulo Gonçalves, Ph.D., Associate Professor, Scientific Director and Research Affiliate MIT Sloan School of Management.
Special Advisor at the Foundation Sanjana Hattotuwa is on the Faculty of this course. We also facilitated the participation of Andrew Alspach and Soren Wilkening from UN OCHA to teach, bringing their vast experience and UN expertise to bear in class lectures and discussions.
