Cyber Diplomacy, Law and Norms – Capacity Building in Vientiane, Laos for Policymakers and Cyberdiplomats from the Lao PDR, Kingdom of Cambodia and Vietnam
Cybersecurity Capacity Building Course in Vientiane, Lao PDR 20 -21 September 2023
ICT4Peace in cooperation with the Department for Cybersecurity of the Lao PDR organised the 5th Cybersecurity Policy and Diplomacy Course for the CLV ASEAN Countries.
The Course was opened by Mr. Khamla Sounnalat, Director of the Department of Cyber Security of the Lao PDR, Ms. Fiona Merrington, First Secretary of the Embassy of Australia in Vientiane, Prof. Ou Phannarith Director Department of ICT Security of the Kingdom of Cambodia and Daniel Stauffacher of ICT4Peace. Representatives of Vietnam have participated in the Course online.
The Course was co-lead by Ms. Anne-Marie Buzatu, Executive Director of ICT4Peace and Prof. Przemek Roguski, Senior Advisor of ICT4Peace.
The course would not have been possible without the generous support of the Swiss Development Cooperation Office in Cambodia and the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Australia
This Course will be followed by a Course in Siem Reap, Kingdom of Cambodia on 25 and 26 September 2023.
The first Cybersecurity Policy and Diplomacy Workshop for ASEAN Countries was organised by ICT4Peace in 2017 in Singapore.
