ITU's Her CyberTracks: Promoting the equal, full, and meaningful representation of women in cybersecurity
The ICT4Peace Academy, along with OAS is proud to support ITU’s Her CyberTracks program with a tailor-made Cyber Diplomacy Course for women leaders, which was held online from 5 to 6 September 2023.
40 women policymakers and cyber diplomats from ECOWAS Region participated. It is the second course of this kind after the one for women leaders from the Balkans.
The ITU-OAS-ICT4Peace Cyber Diplomacy Course supports ITU’s “Her Cyber Tracks” program, which “aims at promoting the equal, full, and meaningful representation of women in cybersecurity for a more resilient cyberspace for all. With the support of GIZ, commissioned by the Federal Foreign Office, ITU−D and partners will help bridge the gender, capacity, and workforce gaps in cybersecurity by enabling, inspiring, and empowering women … through capacity building, mentoring, employment opportunities and networking.”
