Daniel Stauffacher, President of ICT4Peace, was invited to be speaker at Cyber Week 2017, which took place place in Tel Aviv from June 25th to June 29th. He participated in the “International Cooperation Roundtable – The Human Factor” where inter alia the following topics were discussed:
“Developing cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions attracts globally billions of dollars in technology R&D investments. What about investing in what many consider is the weakest link – cyber the human factor ? What international programs have made inroads into cyber capacity building ?The International Cooperation Roundtable highlighted different approaches to global or regional efforts to connect the defenders, decision makers and also the wider public. The discussants will present case-studies and their observations on how human-capital development could be further enhanced, internationally”

The Cyberweek 2017 is hosted by the Blavatnik Interdisciplinary Cyber Research Center (ICRC), Yuval Ne’eman Workshop for Science, Technology and Security, Tel Aviv University, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Israel National Cyber Directorate, Prime Minister Office. It welcomes speakers from both Israel and abroad to share their innovative insights on the most recent developments in cybersecurity, and discuss key dilemmas and opportunities arising from evolving technologies.
The conference hosts more than 5,000 attendees from over 50 countries, and attracts a unique combination of industry senior executives (CEOs, VPs, CISOs, etc), leading cybersecurity experts, government and policy makers, private sector directors, start-ups, investors, defense officials and academics.
